FAQ

How does this process work?

1. The first step is to brainstorm what type of fencing you may need. Think about the functionality first, and the look and style you will want. Pictures help so that we can all be on the same page. Also take a look at your property on Google Satellite to get a feel for the fenced area; you can draw on the map and measure linear footage if you would like. Please also know where your property lines are. If you don't know, and there are no pins, you may need to hire a surveyor to mark it. Lastly, look into a permit through your town office. Generally, you don't need one if you are replacing an existing fence, but most towns require a permit if it's a new fence that is not for farm/ag use.

2. Reach out to us to schedule an estimate. Estimates are free, so when you reach out we will confirm you are in our area we cover and we will schedule a site visit. At the site visit we will go over the fence style, where it will go on your property, and gates.

3. We will return your quote/contract. Feel free to make edits to fit your budget if necessary. Ask questions if you have any.

4. If you would like to use someone else for the install or you no longer want a fence please just respond and say you are all set. However, if you do want to move forward with us please respond back via email saying the quote looks good.

5. Once we get your approval email, you will need to send in a 50% deposit check for the quoted amount. We then will add you to the schedule and give you a general timeframe. We hang onto the check until about 1-2 weeks before install. We will reach back out to you with a more exact date and to let you know at that time we will be depositing your 50% check.

6. We install your fence - Once complete and satisfactory, the other 50% (or adjusted value) is due.

How can I prepare for the installation?

Here are a few things we really appreciate you doing:

1. Talk to your neighbors. Let them know what you plan to do and that a fence crew will be there to install. Settle any discussion about property lines, etc. If you live within an HOA, get any needed approvals.

2. Mark your corners and gate locations with flags or marking paint.

3. Pick up dog poop - If you have dogs, keep in mind we will be walking all over your lawn.

4. If you have items in your yard or property that are in the way please move them.

5. If parking is tight, keep in mind we will be showing up with at least one truck and trailer so we will need some room to get unloaded.

Do you call DigSafe or do I have to?

We will handle DigSafe if necessary. When we do the site visit we will take not of any utilities, septic, etc. in the area and if necessary we will schedule DigSafe to come mark the area before installation.

Please note* DigSafe does not mark water lines, private electrical or gas lines, or anything related to septic systems.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured including workers compensation.

What are your terms and conditions?

When you agree to our quoted price for the described scope of work, that is our contract for the work. We do charge extra for when we need to jackhammer and pin posts into ledge, that is outlined on our quotes.

What type of warranty do you provide?

We do not do a formal warranty. Our rule of thumb is that we will re-visit the project one time up to a year after the install if needed. (Sometimes a latch needs to be adjusted, etc.) This is free. Maintenance after that point will no longer be free.
